| The
Cheshire Canal Canter 5K is run on a certified race course (CT02017DR) starting on
North Brooksvale Road by Norton School. The rolling course
includes a portion of the paved Linear Trail. The race
finishes at the Norton School, Route 42, Cheshire, Connecticut.

The Kids Half Miler is run immediately following the 5K on the grounds of the Norton School. |

| T-shirts - Will be given to all pre registered runners and the first 75 race day entrants. | |||||||||||||
| Cash
prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers
($100, $50, $25), first Master (M/F) ($50). Awards top three race finishers in each division. Age Groups are Men & Women, 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ and Wheelchair. The first male and female Cheshire resident also receive awards. Kids Half Miler:

| Race Day: Norton School 8:15 - 9:45 am Packet pick up and race day registration 10:00 am 5K Race Begins. Kids Half-Miler immediately after 5K ends. |

| Directions: From Route 10 Cheshire - heading North: Drive 0.4 miles from the first light in Cheshire, at the five-way intersection of Rte 10 (South Main Street), Cook Hill Road, South Brooksvale Road and Harrison. Turn left onto King Road. At the stop sign, turn left onto North Brooksvale Road. Norton School is 1/2 mile on your left. From Route 10 Cheshire - heading South: Drive past the Cheshire High School approximately 1 mile to stop light at the intersection of North Brooksvale Road (Rte. 42). Turn right. Norton School is approximately 1 mile on your right.
From Route 63 Bethany:
Heading North - turn right onto Cheshire Road, Route 42. Heading South
- turn left onto Cheshire Road, Route 42. Follow Rte 42 down Cheshire
Road, to Bethany Mountain Road until you reach a T-intersection. At
this stop sign, turn left onto North Brooksvale Road. The Norton
School is approximately 1 mile on your right. |
